Loosely following the story of the graphic novels, up to four players can play as Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Kim Pine or Stephen Stills, along with the unlockable character NegaScott and the downloadable characters Knives Chau and Wallace Wells, who must battle through seven levels in order to defeat Ramona’s seven evil exes. During co-operative play, players can revive fallen comrades at the cost of some money, give each other health or money, and simultaneously taunt for a combined attack. Various cheat codes unlock extra features, such as a Sound Test, a Boss Rush and a Survival Horror mode.

Robertson’s work also makes two cameo appearances in the movie of the same name, as a 1-Up symbol that Michael Cera’s character nabs in a moment of need, and at the very end of the movie’s credits, in which an animated Scott Pilgrim beats up a ‘The End’ title card.

New World was first revealed in September 2016, at TwitchCon. Amazon Game Studios announced they would be working on their first three PC games: Breakaway, Crucible and New World. The studio shifted to aid development of New World instead. On February 16, 2021, it was announced that the game is set to release on August 31, 2021.

We’ve worked so hard to make New World: Aeternum sing with a controller and play well on console and spent the better part of the last year optimizing, polishing and readying Aeternum for this next phase.
